Getting started

We all write differently. I write in a particularly ineligible fashion. And the built in handwriting which comes with Palm devices is good, but it not you. Good news is, how poorly I write is totally irrelevant, and there is a tool, “Teal Script” by Teal Point which allows you to enter PDA text exactly as you like, create short cuts for making multiple words etc.

The Basics:
  • Order Teal Script online from Teal Point

  • Install the tool (down load file, run installation program, synchronize your PDA.

Complete initial set up of the tool
  • Choose TealScript icon from your applications (House button) screen)

  • Coose Preferences at top left of screen

  • Chooses Write Anywhere

  • Check the Write anywhere on screen box and click OK

Begin training Teal Script to recognize your handwriting
  • Open your applications screen by pressing on the House button on your PDA

  • Find the Teal Script icon and press it to open

  • Use the Train Profile feature.

  • After the initial training, use the Edit Stroke Entries to fine tune letters and numbers. Return here often whenever a character is not easily recognized.

See the tip (look at right side of this screen) for cleaning up a bunch of clutter which will probably confuse you, and will definitely confuse your PDA.
